WE BELIEVE IN...THE
BIBLE We believe the Bible to
be the inspired Word of God and the only complete record of God’s
will for man. II Timothy 3:16-17, Matthew
4:4
GOD We believe in God the Father to
be the creator of all things. We believe God to be One, not
numerically, but collectively, God in three Persons – Father, Son,
and Holy Ghost. We believe God to have created man in his present
form, with a spirit, body, and God-breathed soul.

Psalm 23:1, Psalm 139:7-12, Jeremiah 10:10-16, 23:6, Ezekiel 48:35,
Isaiah 42:8, Mark 13:32, Acts 17:22-31, Colossians 1:15-17, Hebrews

4:24, James 1:5, 1:17
JESUS CHRIST We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son
of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary,
walked in ministry on this earth, was crucified for our sins, died
and was buried. He descended into Hell and preached to them that
were held captive. On the third day God raised Him from the
dead. He ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of
God. Matthew 26:64, John 5:21-29; Romans 8:3-4,
John C1, C3, Acts 13:33-39, Hebrews 1:1-5, 5:5-10, I John 4:9,
Revelations 1:5
THE HOLY SPIRIT (HOLY
GHOST) We believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Third Person of the Holy Trinity. We believe that we are now living
in the age or dispensation of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the
Holy Spirit is He through which God guides and teaches His people,
reveals His truth, and operates the spiritual gifts. We believe that
the gift of the Holy Spirit is available to every man, and is
necessary for success in living a Christian life. We believe that
one who is baptized in the Holy Spirit is empowered to perform God’s
will in every situation and to live an overcoming Christian life
style. Matthew 12:31, John 3:16, 14:17, 15:26,
16:8-11, 16:13, I John 5:6, Acts 5:32, Romans 8:2, I Corinthians
3:16, 6:19, 12:4-6, Ephesians 1:13,
1:17.
THE HOLY TRINITY We believe in the Holy Trinity (God in three
Persons), God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
We believe God the Father to be the source of all things, Jesus the
Son to be the Administrator, and the Holy Ghost the vehicle through
which the Father speaks to us and through which the spiritual gifts
operate by authority of the Name of Jesus. We believe the New
Testament teaches the truth concerning God the Father (Romans 1:7),
God the Son (Hebrews 1:8), and God the Holy Ghost (Acts 5:3-4). We
believe God the Father to be revealed in Heaven, God the Son to have
been revealed in earth, and God the Holy Spirit to be evident
everywhere. Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19, John 14:16, I
John 5:7, Acts 5:3-4, I Corinthians 12:4-6, II Corinthians 13:14,
Romans 1:1-7, I Timothy 3:16
FAITH TOWARD GOD We believe that salvation cannot occur or continue
without faith in God, for it is by Him that Jesus Christ, our
Savior, was manifested, by His testimony and witness that we receive
Jesus Christ as His only begotten Son, the Word of God become flesh,
and by the Word of God that all things are
upheld. I John 5:7-12, I
Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 11:6
SALVATION
We believe that entry into the state of
salvation is by grace through faith. We believe that salvation is a
gift from God available to all who repent of their sins and accept
Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God and their Lord and
Savior. We believe in Jesus Christ as the ultimate and final
sacrifice for our sin, no further blood sacrifice being sufficient
or necessary. We believe that continuance in the state of salvation
is a matter of obedience to the will of God as revealed in His Word
through the revelation of the Holy Spirit and as demonstrated on
earth by Jesus Christ. John 3:16-17, 14:15, 15:6, Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8,
Romans 8:13, Matthew 7:12-27, Philippians 2:12, Hebrews
9:28
SANCTIFICATION We
believe in the sanctification and purification of the believer,
spiritually and physically. We believe that the body is the temple
of the Lord and must be kept from
defilement. I Corinthians 3:16-17, I Peter
1:22, Romans 8:13, 12:1-2, I John 2:15-16
REPENTANCE FROM DEAD
WORKS We believe that faith is expressed through
appropriate works, but that works by itself is dead, for works must
emerge from a foundation of faith and as a manifestation of
faith. We believe that man cannot be saved by works, works
being under the law and not under grace; therefore dead because they
cannot produce spiritual life.Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 3:10-14,
James 2:17-26
BAPTISMS
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY
GHOST – We believe in baptism
in the Holy Ghost fire, as demonstrated by the burning bush in
Exodus 3:1-5 and as experienced by the apostles on the day of
Pentecost (Acts Chapter 2), signifying the baptism of the Holy
Ghost, as evidenced by the speaking in other tongues, available to
every believer. We believe that all believers may be in-dwelt by the
Holy Ghost as a result of salvation (John 14:16-17) but not all
believers are filled (baptized) with the Holy Ghost immediately upon
being born again. (Ephesians 5:18). Exodus 3:1-5; Acts
2:1-4
BAPTISM BY WATER –
We believe in baptism by immersion (as Jesus was
baptized in the river Jordan by John (the Greek word baptizo meaning
whelmed or to make fully wet). Romans 6:3-6, Acts
2-38
BAPTISM OF
REPENTANCE -
We believe that baptism
saves us, NOT by the washing of flesh by water, but by the answer of
a good conscience toward God, a seal of our commitment to live
according to His will. We believe in the authority of baptism as
Jesus spoke it in Matthew 28:19, in the name of the Father, the Son,
and the Holy Ghost. We believe that infant baptism is not scriptural
and not to be practiced.
There can be no repentance without knowledge of
sin. There is
no knowledge of sin in an infant.
Matthew 3:5-6, Luke 3:1-6, Acts
13:24, 19:4, 1 Peter 3:21.
HOLY COMMUNION - We believe that communion is a holy sacrament
celebrated in commemoration of the one-time sacrifice of Jesus
Christ for the forgiveness of sin, appropriate only to them who enjoy oneness with Christ and
the fellowship of the body of Christ. and a public proclamation of
His death and imminent return. We believe that the taking of
communion is sacred and them that partake unworthily eat and drink
damnation to themselves. We believe that communion is symbolic, that
the bread and wine do not translate into the body and blood of
Jesus, but rather are representative of His broken body and shed
blood. Matthew 26:26-30, Mark 14:22-26, Luke
22:14-20, I Corinthians 11:23-32
THE CHURCH
- We believe in the church as a group of
persons born again of the Spirit and of the Water, confessing Christ
and belief in His Sonship and resurrection, who are baptized upon
confession of faith after proper instruction. We believe that God
has established a hierarchy in the church for the perfecting of the
saints, for the work of the ministry, and the edifying of the body
of Christ. These are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and
teachers, with all other ministries in support of the five-point
ministry. The calling and anointing of God must be present for the
work of the ministry. We believe that those who would work in
the ministry must be faithful to attendance at worship service,
Bible study and Sunday school, if not to teach, then to support and
assist.
We believe in submission to
the leadership of the church as ordained and ordered by God.
We believe in the Church as a theocracy where God is in
charge. Acts 2:46-47, I Corinthians 12:13,
Ephesians 4:11-16, Hebrews 13:17
SUPPORT
SERVICES - We believe that God
has established other functions for Christians to execute in support
of the leadership of the church…helps and governments (ruling),
administrations, giving, exhortation and mercy. We believe that
service to God as well as worship of God must be in Spirit and in
truth. We believe that salvation, spiritual maturity, obedience,
faith in God, and demonstrated commitment to the cause of Christ are
prerequisites for service in leadership positions. We make no
distinction in gender, national origin, physical age, or skin color
concerning the execution of the ministries or support
thereof. Acts 6:1-4,
Romans 12:6-8, I Corinthians 12:28-30, Galatians
3:28
SPIRITUAL GIFTS
GIFTS OF
CALLING - We believe in the
operation of the spiritual gifts to the glory of God and to the
benefit of the believer. We believe God the Father to be the Giver
of spiritual gifts and their operation by authority of the name of
Jesus, through the power of the Holy Ghost. We believe that the
gifts of calling are the Word of Wisdom, the Word of Knowledge,
Faith, Gifts of Healing, the Working of Miracles, Prophecy,
Discerning of Spirits, Diverse Kinds of Tongues, the Interpretation
of Tongues. We believe that these gifts abide within the anointed at
birth and are called forth by God in the ministry to His people
according to a person’s place in the Lord. Jeremiah
1:5, Luke 115, Galatians 1:15, Romans 11:29, I Corinthians 12:1-11,
James 1:17
GIFTS OF
GRACE...We believe that there are gifts given in
the support of ministries for which we can seek the Lord.
These gifts are prophecy, ministry (helps), teaching, exhortation,
giving, ruling (governments and administration), and mercy
(hospitality and support).
Romans 12:6-8, I Corinthians 12:28, 31
FINANCES - We believe it is God's
will in the payment of tithes and offerings in the support of the
church, that it may be maintained, that ministries may be supported,
and that God’s people may be served in every way He desires. Malachi
3:8-12, Luke 6:38, Acts 4:34-35, 2 Corinthians
9:7
LAYING ON OF HANDS - We believe in the laying on of hands by those
ministers ordained by God to do so for the purpose of prayer,
healing, and deliverance, and the imparting of spiritual gifts. No
person in the church shall lay hands on without express
permission of the leadership. Matthew 19:13; Mark
5:23, 6:5, 8:23-25, 16:18; Luke 4:40, 13:13; Acts 6:6, 8:17, 9:17,
13:3, 19:6, 28:8; I Timothy 4:14, II Timothy 1:6
RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD -
We believe in the resurrection of the dead,
whether to eternal rest or to eternal punishment. We
believe in the Rapture, the translation of God’s people from earth
to paradise by Jesus Christ. Matthew 24: 40-42,
27:50-53, John 5:29-30; II Thessalonians 5:16-17, John 11:1-45, John
5:28-29, I Corinthians 15:1-54, Philippians 3:10-11, Re 20:5-6,
13-14
ETERNAL JUDGEMENT - We believe in eternal judgment, where death and hell,
and great and small shall stand before the White throne of Judgment
for a final divine pronunciation from God concerning our ultimate
destiny. We believe that there is no redemption beyond the grave,
that such a concept is not scriptural, that after death there is
only judgment, with no more chance of being saved.
Isaiah 38:18, Hebrews 9:27, Revelations 20:4-6, 20:11-15,
21:8
